April Ross

April Ross was one of just a handful of women beach volleyball stars who won medals during multiple Olympics. Alix klineman, who is playing for the first time in Tokyo's Olympics and will attempt to win her third medal. Ross wants to achieve more than her first Olympic medal. At 39, this could be Ross' last opportunity to claim an Olympic gold. Her optimism is that she'll be successful in achieving top honours. If we play our top or play well I feel like we'll win the gold medal Ross stated on NBC Boston. "I'm planning to test to have a bit of luck." Ross born the 22nd, 1982 located in Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area together with her parents. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of activities while at Newport Harbor High School. As a prep-athlete she played indoor volleyball and track. In the last sport she stood out. As per her biography in high school, she played volleyball as an outside setter (middle blocker) and setter (outside blocker). Thanks to her hard work she was awarded the 1999 Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. The skills she showed in volleyball also brought her the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman might be working on a project at the beginning of 2017, but Ross was already an established athlete at the beach prior to when they came together. The fact is, she's won multiple big tournaments as well as one of her partners was an all-star volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to the year 2013. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be a formidable force in the world circuit, winning the 2009 World Championship with each other. The duo eventually captured a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor won gold, overtaking them. The fate of the matter was that Ross turned out to be Walsh Jennings' new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. They took home the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Following high school, and for a few years before she hit the sand professionally, Ross was a ball for the USC Trojans as an collegiate. And her run at USC was a memorable one. In her first year at the school, 2000 earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the Award and also be named an All-American. In addition, she helped her Trojans get to the Final Four. The second season of her career she suffered a devastating personal tragedy, but earned the distinction of being an All-American. Through her last two years as a player, she led the Trojans to the summit of the mountain netting three consecutive championships at the national level. In 2003-04, Ross was named the top collegiate female volleyball player in the United States through The Honda Sports Award. Ross studied the study of international relations in USC. Margie Ross wasn't able to see her daughter's rise to fame as a beach volleyball player. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer while she was a sophomore in USC. Her mother is still close to her heart. Margie is a source of inspiration both in her personal life and at the beaches.
