Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson is an American former actor. She began her career as a young actress and model, Elson is probably best-known for her television roles in the role of Alice Tyler on the CBS science fiction series . Andrea got the part of Lynn Tanner, in ALF (1986), after auditioning. After a long time of work on hit shows, she left the industry to raise her family. Andrea Elson's role as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teen daughter was a difficult one for her. People magazine published a retrospective of Elson's career in 2000. She said that being a teenager who was in the limelight wasn't easy. The green-eyed New York City native grew in her travels due to the job in advertising that her father held. For the 10 years prior to her 10th birthday she was a resident of New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. While in San Diego Andrea got an agent and got the role she tried to audition for. Fusco explained the decision with the statement "ALF has a lifespan of 285 years which means he's mature enough to be able to consume beer." As ALF's popularity grew with kids, NBC informed Fusco that the actor could not consume alcohol since the kids were watching. The show was a poor illustration. Fusco was of the opinion that ALF did not have the maturity required to drive drunk, wasn't right. In 1995, he was diagnosed to have cancerous lymphoma. This cancer was successfully treated and he was in complete remission for the rest of his life. At the Lillian Booth Actors Home of Englewood in New Jersey, on June 26, 2019, he passed away due to this condition at age 75.
