Seasons 1-8 are when shippers place bids on two of the shipments listed on the uShip website. It is an auction reverse structure. Bids are generally accompanied by remarks about the probable costs and risks, as well as the motivations and capabilities. If the time-limit for an auction runs out, the job is typically assigned to the bidder with the lowest bid however, at the discretion of the buyer however, it could be awarded to a higher bidder with a better average feedback rating from previous customers. To break any ties feedback ratings are utilized. Season 9 is when shippers are receiving their loads from a shipping company. The bidding process isn’t documented. Shippers load their cargo and attempt to deliver it in perfect condition by the deadline given by the buyer or the receiver. Client feedback scores are shown after the loads have been delivered. Then, at the end of the episode, the total revenue of each shipper is recorded on screen, and the costs (fuel, labor, late-delivery penalties, fines, etc.) taken out of the bid to calculate the overall profits or losses. Sometimes, shippers offer to transport additional loads in the same trip. The additional amount is added into their total. Sometimes, the shipper will not be able finish the task due to concerns over the size of the load or the weight and road safety. Sometimes, a shipper might employ the assistance of another shipper to complete the job. The shippers will then decide which way to split the profits. Seasons 1-8 are filled with funny criticisms by the other shippers.
